I think in fifa 09 there dhould be a referee. I also think that you should have teamplaying styles like Arsenal and Barcelona’s would be passing game. I also think in manager modes you can create your managers face or you can just play as the teams actual manager. I also thimk that it would be good if the crowd sometime threw stuff at the players. There should be music after you score. EA should also take more consideration when making the overalls for rangers and celtic. Rangers made it to the uefa cup final. You should also have the proper champions league and uefa cup.

fifa 09 really needs 2 player manager mode…. goalkeepers can be sent off… if you win a competition there needs to be presentation of the trophy….. celebration with the supporters etc not jus for a few seconds either

on FIFA 09 there definetly should be more leagues like the Maltese or Argentinian leagues, and better facial graphics on players and fans and being able to see the managers, and calling cups like the ECC the Champions League and EFA the UEFA cup, players interacting when they get subbed,when you win a trophy you see the players getting up on the podium and see them lifting the cup! (which happens on PES) better transfer and negotiations where you can choose things to say to persuade them to transfer or stay at/to your club. thanks Luis

please make reserveteams. like if havard nordtveit(arsenal) is on the reserveteam, during the season(or pre- season) you can promote him to the first team! and nasri, fabregas and van persie should keep their skillmoves. eduardo can you upgrade….walcott aswell

FIFA 09 should have better use of fakes. for example, all the stepovers and jukes should be able to twist and break ankles, otherwise, its just a stupid looking dance move. also, id like to see more use of the player’s body. in real soccer, body strength is keen to good ball control so without it, you ruin some of the best player’s greater attributes. also, EA keeps increasing the offensive engines to the point they overpower the deffensive stuff. please just do something about it, cuz its just an inconsistent mess.

1) First and foremost the gameplay is better than Pro Evo but still needs to be more fluid and responsive, especially players receiving and giving passes.
2) More customization of players, clubs and stadiums (this is one area in which PES is clearly superior to FIFA).
3) Add a few 2nd tier Mexican clubs such as, Veracruz, León, Sinaloa, Querétaro, etc. Also bring back promotion/relegation of the Dutch, Portuguese, etc. leagues.
4) Include more Latin American national and club teams so it can be possible to play a Copa Libertadores type tournament. For example Atlético Nacional, Colo Colo, Peñarol, Olimpia, LDU Quito etc.
5) The Argentine league is long overdue, Russian and Japanese leagues would also be nice.
6) I agree with everyone who wants their local european league/national team. If it’s not possible, then at least include the top clubs from each country i.e.
Russia: Spartak Moskva, CSKA Moskva, FC Zenit,
Ukraine: Dynamo Kyiv, Shakhtar Donetsk
Romania: Steaua Bucureşti, Rapid Bucureşti, etc.
Lastly, I would also like small adjustments such as easier to navigate and faster menus, improved be-a-pro mode, enhanced manager mode, a ref on the pitch, etc.

FIFA 08 was a really good game, but 09 still needs alot of improvement. My thoughts are:
- Crowds need to be better. Louder, more responsive to action (like groans when shot just missese, ironic cheers, boos of e-players etc.). Maybe when showing the replay of a goal or close shot you could show the reaction of the crowd. Plus they should all be wearing team colours and hold up scarves and banners AND SHOULD NOT BE CARDBOARD CUTOUTS!!
- Shooting form distance is really too hard. Its almost impossible to rocket one from 30 yards past the keeper. It shouldnt be too easy, but it should be possible.
- Commentary is pretty poor. It needs to be up to date with the play, accurate and should vary depending on the state of the season and game. If one player is scoring alot of goals, they could mention that. If a star player is struggling they should mention that. If a player has just transferred from another club that could be mentioned. All of this adds to creating a more realistic game.
- Simple things like passing, dribbling and trapping are not realistic. This should be fixed. The goalkeepers could use an update also.
- Recieve offers from other clubs at the end of a seson as a manager, and be invited to coach your national team.
- On the subject of national teams, please include a world cup, Euro, the Asian Cup and African Cup of Nations. This can give you a chance to coach one of the teams in these comps if your good enough, and if not may lose players to international duties. Its not realistic that you go through an entire season without losing a single player to their national team.
- MORE STADIUMS. Please include at least Goodison and and at least one (if not more) Australian grounds so that the A-League players can play in a real stadium.
-The refs and linos on the parki. And make them animate. Have them wave away cries for a penalty and charge over to a player getting booked. Again more realistic.
-Fix the reffing. At times the decisions are a joke. My players can get hacked from behond and not get a foul but one bump on the opposition and it is an instant free kick.
-Try to make running and all those little things look real. Have a jersey stretch and move like a real jersey. Perhaps alternate the style of nets used, and provide a better and more accurate range of balls. Have the players wearing the right boots ie Ronaldo in his orange boots.
I think thats all i can think of for now. I really hope EA listen to our suggestions.

I thought FIFA 08 was a disappointment compared to FIFA 07. Anyway I have a large list of possible improvements for FIFA 09.
CONTROLS for PS2:
Switch player when your team doesn’t have the ball should be x instead of L1 because it is inconvenient. The x to switch players on PS2 was like that since at least FIFA World Cup 2002 and for FIFA 08 it changed
CREATE A CLUB:
-Manager mode - MORE MONEY to start- If you have good players on your team with high salaries- debt
-We should have more control on custom crests and kits like FIFA Manager
-CRESTS SHOULD APPEAR ON JERSEY AND SHORTS
-KITS should have REALISTIC DESIGNS of Nike, Adidas, Puma, Umbro with these logos appearing on the jersey
-Manager mode- the SPONSOR- T-mobile, etc. SHOULD APPEAR ON JERSEY and change when you change sponsors
-longer space for large names for created clubs and players
-YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO CREATE STADIUMS- like FIFA Manager
-Manager mode- The player should be able to choose rival teams for created clubs
-You should be able to choose the CITY OR LOCATION for where you want your team to be
-Start menu should not have a soccer ball replacing a created clubs crest
- You should be able to customize FAN BANNERS AND FLAGS for created clubs
-Manager Mode- WHEN A CREATED CLUB REPLACES ANOTHER CLUB TO JOIN THAT LEAGUE, THE CREATED CLUB SHOULD HAVE THE LOGO OF THE LEAGUE THAT IT IS IN ON THE KIT.
GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS
-You should be able to EDIT STADIUMS like FIFA Manager
-Better TRANSFER MARKET and EDIT SQUAD SEARCH TOOL- search based on age and nationality
-Manager Mode- OTHER TEAMS should have an AUTOMATIC BEST 11
-Manager Mode- OTHER TEAMS should have BETTER SIMULATION RESULTS- Chelsea and Man United should not end a season with less than 73 points
-MORE REAL STADIUMS- more national stadiums, EACH LEAGUE SHOULD HAVE AT LEAST ONE REAL STADIUM AND ONE GENERIC STADIUM- realistic for each league, Santiago Bernabeu, Ibrox , Celtic Park, Philips stadion, more EPL Stadiums, Maracana, MLS Stadiums , La Bombonera, River Plate Stadium, all UEFA 5-Star Stadiums, most UEFA 4-star stadiums

i think dat fifa 09 should have these ideas put in2 the nxt game :
1) a referee on the pitch visible all da tym, nt wen he’s givin out yellow / red cards.
2) ronaldo should nt b able 2 run THRU ppl.
3) all da l8test kits nd sponsors
4) all da real/l8test stadiums, nt a da made up 1
5) u shld b able 2 train during da week nd actually do it ur self.

7) weather enhances play

Celtic Park should be in it because it’s so frustrating seeing small stadiums in it and not one of the biggest stadiums in britian.Also the fans would have to sing real songs and wera their teams colours.

I think that the General Manager mode should be more complex. On FIFA08 they removed the option to watch as the game simulates itself, I think that as a general manager it is important to see how your team can perform without you controlling the action and make adequate changes throughout the game. Also, I’d like to see other tournaments within the league, such as Copa Libertadores, the Club World Cup, and other club cups like that, and finally, in some countries, the clubs who don’t do very well descend to a secondary division and the champs of that secondary division ascend to the primary one. I’d like to see some of that, and it’s also about time that JLeague is included amongst the various leagues.

The main points should be:-
1) 2 player manager mode. (How much better would this be if you could build a squad against a rival manager, aim to pip him/her to the league title or cup). Also an add on to this would be so that you could select the opposite team to play against the managed team, so like 2 player manager mode you could play all the fixtures against you opposing manager and attempt to get them relegated :) ….
2) More than 8 human teams in tournamet mode, this means if u want to create a tournament with your friend for exapmle you could have 16 teams each make up a knockout tournament of 32 teams… Much better multi-player mode.
3) EA Online needs improving a lot, at the moment it is basic, you join a room play 1 game get kicked out of that room (Pointless/boring/annoying)… it would be much better if you could enter a room and wait for a certain amount of players for example 16 in a room then start a knock out tournament, u pick ure team win progress to the next round to play a better standard of player (in theory)…
4) can we please sort out the holland national team, it annoys me that their the only ones who havent got real kits/names/players…

for fifa 09 i think they have handballs, show the officials in actual game play, not just when a decision is made. also, when a goal is scored, show players running off and celebrating, and then go back to the official showing offside flag.
wider variety of commentary. for example if u are playing a game with spanish clubs, hav a commentator who is from spain but stil speaks english.
online teamplays- make them ranked
possibly make an 11vs11 option so that everybody has a random position and u hav to play in that position.
captain of the team has option of kicking someone from their team if they are annoying them. i.e. wont pass etc.

It would be great if you could do a practice session with: Attacker vs Keeper and defender, this way you can get better with skill moves!

i cant stop thinking of more ideas . make the players form of running moe realistic , have them move their body more when running.. grass should fly up when making a sliding tackle.
. have the players look good in the uniforms and make the uniforms look realistic on the players.
. different types of weather
. more atmosphre in stadiums .
when you are playing a game in the evening it should turn to night as the game goes on. and the the weather should change through out the game.
more realistic injuries not just i lttle push and the players are out for a month.
jersey pulling.
shoving players.
chane different hair syles. like fabregas he has bin having short hair but in euro he had long hair.
show the fans expresions during a game
more realistic shooting and tackling
add detai that would make the game better becuase if you dont you will for sure lose customers

This idea would also be good to fifa 09. When a player is running at full speed or at any time the jersey hes wearing should stick to his body. Add alot of deatail to this game, add alot of what peole are writing these are good ideas to make it better and if you do i dont think 09 will suck like the past fifas

hey i think that a good idea would be to make some sort of competition in which football fans send in chants for thier team, if its good enough then it could be attached to the particular team that its about and is played during that teams matches as if the crowd is chanting!

1. The dutch national team must be with the ordinary players.
2. You should be able to shoot harder from distance without the ball is going too high every time.
3. Be able to do celebrations after goals.
4. More skills.
5. More leagues.
6. The posibility to create a kind of dreamteam in carrer-mode. You should be able to create your own badge, and design your kits. And then you play matches with the team and evolve them to better players.. ..

i think it isnt very good that holland hasnt got the right names! I aint really bothered about international kits, but not to have the right names is stupid. Also, players ratins are stupid! Why are players like for hull city have ratings of 62? players like michael turner, who is an outstanding centre back, has a rating of 63, when players like cacapa have 76? its bad

Concentrate less on graphics (which are perfectly fine) and more on Realism. Its not all about graphics graphics graphics..
There MUST be better crowds!!! The general atmosphere of the game must be improved. Fifa 08’s was extremely bland and dull.

1. Estadio de las artes is horrible for atmosphere. I know there cant be every stadium in the game but at least give a specific generic stadium to each region.. Such as a premier league one and Serie a/b one.
2. In finals such as the European Cup, FA Cup, etc. it is very unrealistic to see one team as the “home team”. Split it up 50/50. Make the crowd cheer for BOTH teams instead of the one which is named first..
3. MORE DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT - stadiums, crests as gamer pictures, themes.. I can’t tell you how dissapointed I was with the lack of DL Content for 08…
4. I recommend bringing back the FIfa 05 freekick engine so that proper spin and better aim can be applied… This will make freekicks MUCH more realistic.
5. Better corners… Give option to allow defenders to join in the corner like in real life.

First of all to Gill Smith - look at how many goals Gerrard scored this season and assisted face it he’s well better than FAT Lamps
and secondly to jonny - the reason y the Irish League aint in it is b’cos it’s shite, the League of Ireland is in their on merit - mainly b’cos of the performances of DCFC and Shelbourne in Europe recently by going within 1 round of the group stages in Uefa Cup and Champions League - ur boys r all knocked in the first round in both Champions League and Uefa Cup so shut it.

IDEAS:
- Don’t discriminate PSP players put everything that is ps2 etc in our game e.g. create player etc
MANAGER MODE:
- In manager mode we should have longer transfer time etc….. e.g day by day not week by week
- In transfer market you shouldn’t be aloud to negotiate with a player until you have a bid accepted by his club,be able to negotiate with players who only have 1 year left on their contract and sign them on pre-contract agreements, players should have to pass a medical before they complete their transfer
- Make it were you can take players on loan who havn’t been put up for loan by their clubs.
- Other clubs should be allowed to approach you to manage them but don’t start negotiations until you say “yes”
- Have real managers in manager mode (for all clubs) eg Rafa Benitez - Liverpool and Stephen Kenny - Derry City
- You can be approached by International Teams to manage them in major tournaments depending on your prestige
- Put League of Ireland teams into Europe when they finish in required positions eg Derry City into Champions League and Cork City into Uefa Cup
- Champions League, Uefa Cup etc into 1st season on manager mode
- FIFA World Club Cup in manager mode aswell
OTHER:
- Put in commentary pairs where you can select whoever you want. eg Martin Tyler & Andy Gray (Sky Sports), Clive Tydsley & David Pleat (ITV), Jon Champion & Craig Burley (Setanta Sports), Ian Darke & Alan Smith (Sky Sports) etc
- Put referees on pitch along with linesmen
- Show fourth official holding up board when there is a sub being made and time added on
- Be able to create your own image of a manager (like in Uefa Champions League 04/05) and select what kind of clothes he wears eg tracksuit or suit (shirt & tie) and show him giving instructions to players already on the pitch and subs when he is about to bring him on
- When there is a sub being made the commentators could say eg “Steven Gerrard is warming up” and show him warming up
- Commentators could comment on a players performance in the last match
- also for Premier League games have Sky Sports commentators, for FA Cup have BBC & Sky Sports commentators, and Champions League games have Sky Sports commentators for 1 match and ITV commentators the next match and other leagues we select whoever we want
- Have real referees for each league e.g Mike Dean for Premier League and Alan Kelly for League of Ireland

i think that when playing fifa you should actually have the choice of playing a full 90 minutes game insted of the maximum time being about ten minutes. simple i know….so how come fifa keep missing it out !

what i think u should do is make the grass look more realistic make it darker wen the teams are playing during the day. have the refs in the middle of the field were there playing and linesman. have the players have their similiar body apperance . and you should be able to have practic session with any team you want with the real practice uniform. and also when you see players slide tackle , they should have grass stains on uniform. and there should be more options on how you could make the players socks look, like pulled up all the way to knees. and make the goal keepers have more realistic movment ans what a real professinal keeper would do. and they should have all the coaching staff on the bench during a game and have the subtitutes watching, and when its time for them to play they should get up and start to warm up. i just want fifa to become better everyyear and i dont see that at all. make the players have play more realisticly , more passing than shooting, like in legend the cpu mostly does is dribble and its hard to take the ball of, instead of dribbling make them pass more. and make more stadiums not the same ones you have every year. and have different styles of shooting and passing. makes stadiums more realistic and make the crowd look more realistic . if you can make the players look realistic than u can make fans look realistic.

More fan chants !! - That would be fantastic.
And finally more leagues to be put into Fifa 09.
