FC 24: News, Latest Rumours and More

EA FC 24

In a world undergoing a series of rapid changes, it comes as no surprise that the most true-to-football game has not been spared. This article delves into all that can be expected in this new era of the world’s most authentic football game.

Why Has The Name Changed?

Arguably, the word ‘FIFA’ has been associated more with the video game than with soccer’s independent governing body. It, therefore, came as a rude shock when EA Sports confirmed in 2022 that they wouldn’t be moving forward with this name.

The most evident reason for the split between FIFA and EA Sports? Money. Although it had always been a mutually beneficial contract, the governing body had eyes on the increasing profits the game provider accrued. It demanded, at least, double their initially agreed licensing fee – $150 million.
Besides, FIFA had plans to expand its brand to other digital products. The game publisher vehemently opposed this move, expressing its clear unwillingness to share a name it has helped make popular in video gaming.

How to Pre-Order EA FC 24

Fans of the franchise can pre-order the Standard Edition on Amazon, PlayStation Store, Game and Gamestop. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition can only be pre-ordered from your platform’s store. (A PC version can be pre-ordered from Amazon). This edition is not available on Nintendo Switch. Also, you save 20% off your order if you order through the EA Sports FC 24 advert on FIFA 23.

Anticipated FC 24 Release Date

EA Sports FC 24 will hit the market on September 29, 2023. However, players who preorder the Ultimate Edition get to play the game a whole week before its official launch.

EA Sports FC 24 Cost

The Standard Edition costs $69.99 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. On Nintendo Switch though, it costs about $10 less. The Ultimate Edition, on the other hand, goes for $99.99 on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Fans of the game are also entitled to a 10% discount if they subscribe to EA Play.

What’s New?

Expectedly, EA Sports has added a few features to provide players with the best entertainment.

Gameplay

The three new technologies – HyperMotionV, PlayStyles and the improved Frostbite™ Engine – provide enhanced gameplay. Collating data from over 180 matches, these technologies reproduce more realistic animations. This is a dream come true for esports as enthusiasts can keep better track of tournaments, place more informed bets and make large cashouts on bookmarkers like GGBet.

Ultimate Team Evolutions

According to EA, you can now complete objectives to boost overall ratings, PlayStyles, individual styles and even the appearance of the Player Items. Of course, the company must have a system in place to prevent players from upgrading all their cards to 100.

Women’s Football

The FC 24 allows men and women to play together on the same pitch. With this new arrangement, you can build your dream XI and have Lionel Messi and Asisat Oshoala in the same lineup.

Player & Manager Career

Thanks to the reinvented Personality System, agents can now offer beneficial advice along your footballing career. The Manager Career Mode also includes new training features & provides you greater control over your coaches and tactics.

Conclusion

Given the circumstances surrounding this new release, one might think EA Sports’ hold over the video gaming world is inching towards a gradual end. However, if anything, the game provider has sealed its place as the world’s leading publisher of games. The only sad news is that EA Sports may not be able to make World Cup editions in the future. Hopefully, we’ll cross that bridge in 2026. Right now? It’s countdown till September.
