Create a new Manager Career

To start with, you have to choose to play either with a real manager like Pep Guardiola, Steven Gerrard, Carlo Ancelotti, etc., or create a new one, your own manager character. If you select the second option, you will customize your character according to your preference: choose the manager’s name, nationality, appearance, and outfits.

Choose your future Club

The next step is to choose the club you want to manage. You can either join a current team from any championship and division or create a new one.

If you go for the second option, you will have to decide on your new club’s name, on its correspondent league, select a rival team, customize your kit, badge, and stadium, and pick your squad style.

This is an essential step, and you must know precisely what you want from your future team. You can sign with your favorite top football team to win trophies and lead them to glory. Or you can start with a weaker club from the lower leagues that you gradually improve and help them promote.

Your Career Settings

In the following list, we present some useful tips to consider before trying to buy new players from the transfers tab.

Set clear transfer goals: Before diving into the transfer market, consider the long-term objectives for your team. Do you need to sign a top scorer, support your midfield, or improve your defense? Having clear goals will help you prioritize your search for the right players.

Use the scouting system: Hire scouts that can help you find hidden opportunities and young talents that can become future stars. Focus on players with great potential and low overall ratings that you can develop over time.
Negotiate smartly: Transfer negotiations can be tricky, so coming prepared is essential. Research the player’s value, wages, and contract length before making an offer. Feel free to walk away from a deal if it is not profitable for your team.

Balance your budget: While signing star players can boost your team’s performance, it’s important to balance your budget and not overspend. Consider signing free agents or loaning players to fill gaps in your squad.

Develop your youth academy: Building a solid youth academy can provide a sustainable source of talent for your team. Invest in youth training and give young players playing time to help them grow.

Keep in mind that you can buy or sell players only during the transfer window, which takes place in July, August, and January.

FIFA 23 career mode Training sessions

Training Sessions are crucial in improving your player’s skills and sharpness, especially for young players. You can schedule the training sessions and recovery days from the main screen in the Weekly Schedule option.

There are 5 types of training programs: dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and some set pieces, each with different drills. Each team and player have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, so be flexible and adaptable in your approach.

You can consider the following Training Tips:

  • Customize your training program – take the time to customize your program to focus on the areas where your team needs the most improvement.
  • Monitor players’ progress – tracking individual player progress can help you identify areas where players need additional training or support. Use the training progress feature to monitor each player’s improvement over time and adjust your training program accordingly.
  • Give players’ rest, particularly before matches – training can be demanding, and it’s important to rest players to prevent injury and maintain performance. Use the rest and recovery feature to manage your team’s fitness and avoid overtraining.
Player’s Morale

Player morale is an essential factor that can impact a team’s performance, so you have to take care of the new personality system. A player’s morale is affected by several factors, such as their playing time, relationship with the manager, and success on the pitch. If a player is happy and motivated, their morale will be high, and they will perform better in games.

To keep your player’s morale high, you must ensure they benefit from constant playing time, praise them for their successes in press conferences, and answer them when you receive a message in your inbox.

Additionally, it’s important to note that a player’s morale can also impact their contract negotiations. If a player is unhappy with their current situation, they may be more likely to request a transfer or demand a higher salary.

How do you change the appearance of the players when u start manager career mode, with a brand new team? There’s a regenerate player option but all that does is change the name of the players, and the formation they play in. Not their looks. Need a dude with a mullet and can’t ever get one, is insanely frustrating

I only have on question after all. Can I switch club as a manager during the season or at the end of the season? And if I can, can I choose which club I am heading towards? Can I do that and how?

    1. Jesse says:

Yes you can switch during the season but you cant choose the team. Well, not out of all teams. You will be offered a couple of vacancies and you can apply for one of them
